Referral from your vet
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I am trained to carry out clinical tasks as directed by a Veterinary Surgeon. In practice this would be on a daily basis for example I would carry out; bandage applications, anaesthetic monitoring, inpatient care including administration of medications, placement of IV catheters and taking blood samples as well as blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose monitoring and microscopic workups of various different samples. All of these tasks and more require a vet to delegate the job to me, with their knowledge that I am confident and competent to do such task.
In the event that you as an owner/caregiver or your pet are unable to travel or attend the veterinary practice, I am more than happy to discuss the option of your vet referring you onto myself for care to be carried out at home.
Possible cases in which this may be necessary could be;
- Blood Pressure Monitoring – this is much more accurate when your pet is relaxed and less stressed
- Blood Glucose Monitoring – again, much more accurate when your pet is relaxed and less stressed
- Bandage Applications – this could be post surgery, or post trauma
- Medication Administration – this could be your first time medicating and wanting help, an injection such as Librela or immunotherapy injections at home
- Blood Sampling – this could be regular bloods or one off
Please contact myself directly or have your vet contact myself directly on 07498399510 or via social media.
Prices will be discussed depending on job to be carried out. There will also be a form for your vet to complete prior to going ahead with the appointment.
