About me, Kay...

Hello, let me introduce myself...

I joined a practice called Adams Vets in July 2011, little did I know this practice was going to give me so much, not only professional experience but life experience as well.
I started my Veterinary Nurse training through the apprenticeship route with Lite Ltd with a fantastic Clinical Coach in practice. I put everything into my training and became a Registered Veterinary Nurse in December 2014. I thoroughly enjoyed doing nursing consultations and giving owners advice and support to help them take the best care of their pets. But I also really enjoyed Inpatient Care and being able to see patients admitted for Surgical procedures or Medical interventions and being a part of their recovery was incredibly satisfying. I was later able to become a Clinical Coach myself and helped train and support Student Veterinary Nurses during their qualification.
I spent a short time at a Mixed Animal practice called Rose Cottage Veterinary Centre, I met some fantastic people here, they were so kind and welcoming and it was great to experience what another type of practice was like, but it was also here I realised just how much Adams Vets meant to me and I was lucky enough to return within 6 months, where I then had the amazing opportunity to move into a Practice Manager role. I still worked as a RVN alongside PM for a while until I took on the PM role full time, and did so for 4 years. During this time I was lucky enough to be further promoted to General Manager. I was able to help and support other Practice Managers and Clinical Directors within the IVC group.
In 2022, I became a Mum, something I had always dreamed of and I've thoroughly enjoyed having my time with my daughter these past 3 years!

I am now looking forward to offering basic non clinical pet care to the pets in Liverpool. It is important to note whilst I am a Qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurse, I am unable to work in a clinical way without the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon! However, this doesn’t mean I cannot observe abnormal findings including abnormal behaviours or symptoms, I can let you know if I feel your pet would benefit from a check up with your vet and potentially catching any issues early!
